Why would someone gaslight someone who'd do anything for them. I'm really puzzled on this

Manipulation and control. People who have narcissistic tendencies will do this so they can be in power in the relationship. It's extremely toxic and unhealthy. Serious Red flag in a person!

It can be torture on people who feel bad about themselves or maybe even self doubt themselves. It's like tricking you to think the opposite of how you truly feel or believe in

But once you've fallen into that trap you try to walk on egg shells to not engage a fight pretty much. I don't know sounds like hell to me. I just learned about it

I don’t know…some people spend their whole life looking for someone as caring as that person you described

@MoniqueTLC I've seen some of that.-Negative (cruelty) or Positive (Compliment matters not as long as they get their attention buzz... I wonder if the cruel one (buzz) lasts longer. Can you tell?

I think it has more of an effect on the person. but whatever they need to do to get that fix of validation and attention they'll do it no matter the consequences
