
My first wife was a smoker. I hated it and she eventually would go outside to smoke. After a few years, she quit because she needed surgery and the surgeon wouldn't proceed until she had stopped for at least 30 days. After our divorce, I never again dated a smoker.
"It's like kissing an ashtray" is a cliche, but it's true. And she smelled bad unless she had not smoked since taking a shower. And. . . my perception is that most smokers - men and women - are oblivious to the rights of others and don't care if their smoke is annoying you or triggering a migraine headache.
So. . . never again for me. How about you?
