if it's your boss, you are screwed as corporate america is narcissistic and will torture you before they kick you out. Being black woman, maybe you have a lawsuit so document everything and find a way to record it legally.

Make them suffer as well but if that thought (and blowing up the mosque) feels bad, it says a lot you are caring and empathetic caregiver type, and should avoid narcissistics for your own good, until you are strong enough to deal with evil. Definitely find Christ for strength.

If you use logic, they'll get angry

If you explain yourself, they'll have an argument pre planned.

Just let them do their thing. Keep your reputation clean by not engaging with these people. You're not the first person they tried it on and won't be the last.

The best way you can protect yourself is to be as honest, fair and grounded as you can amung mutual peers.

Combined this will take a lot of the wind out of their sails, set them up to look dumb later and make you look like you assume the best which people precieve as mature and trustworthy.

Gaslighters thrive when you doubt yourself, so the best defense is clarity about your reality and limits.

Keep interactions minimal if possible, document important conversations, and don’t justify your feelings to them. Protecting your peace is priority not winning their approval.

I call them out on their bullshit. 9 times out of 10 they're utilizing the logical fallacy of appealing to emotion and it's quick to form into a ad hominem where they attack you as a person instead of your logic.

Watch typical arguments with leftists if you want practice at it. They HEAVILY rely on that bullshit like the facts gives a shit about their stupid feelings... feelings that are usually just manipulation tactics.

You either meet in person or have live video chat. Either way the person may be in a committed relationship with someone else, but it's more likely if you haven't met them. If someone won't meet, they are a waste of time.
