Having a hard time getting over what my boyfriend said, how can I move on?

So we got into an argument some weeks ago and he blurted out "even if I lose all of my money in crypto I'll still be above you". I was so shocked he apologized but I didn't wanna be around him and just take a breather afterwards. It just didn't feel right and I don't like it.

By realizing people say mean things sometimes. No one is perfect and you can accept his apology. Get past it because as you build a relationship with him more mean things may leave his lips or yours. But don’t remember the bad, focus on the good.


Have you ever been mean to him? How would you feel if he never forgot it

If I'm mean it's because he said something first but I've never said anything to that extent

Then understand he wasn’t being mean without a reason. Clearly he felt hurt or attacked so what he said was out of defense. Not to be offensive

Agreed so challenge him on that., remind him money is just a tool. The value in people is who we are, not the money we make. And remind him to see you as a valuable partner who can hold him accountable. If he sees you as less than him then that can’t help him in life can it?

Yeah he has attitudes and acts like money is a factor to how to treat me but his friend doesn't work and he helps him out and what not
