If your partner is currently away and he have a long train journey starting at midnight, would you wakeup at midnight and check if he started?

His family is along with him through out the journey and starts at 2am. Suppose you're at your home, Would you wakeup at 2 am and check is he have started the journey?

Nope. Not unless I was supposed to pick them up at the airport or train station. In that case I'd check online if they were on schedule before I left. If I wasn't supposed to pick them up, I'd see them when I see them, whenever that might be. I don't see any reason to check on them. It's not like it makes any difference on the time they arrive.

Only time I ever check if I had to pickup my partner from the airport kind of thing.

I'd expect him to call or text that he's on the train or that there has been a delay.

Yeah he would text. But would you wakeup at midnight and check or only at morning?

If i know he's moving at midnight I'll stay awake till then or set an alarm to check if it's at a more awkward time like 2 or 3 am.
