I'm going to go anonymous for this one.

I found out that my dad has been cheating on my mother a few weeks ago. He has already cheated once in the past and got caught, apparently. Our interactions are very limited and I'm civil to him ONLY for the sake of my mother because she has panic attacks whenever someone shouts/argues. My mom does not trust him, froze all his bank accounts, transferred his money to her account, and changed her will when she found out his trashy behavior. I was the one who told her. She is only staying with him for financial and societal reasons. My parents have a good reputation in the society and she does not want people to talk about her personal life behind her back. I'm not embarrassed that my mother is staying with him. Angry, for sure.

Is it possible to try for jobs locally? Instead of making a decision that you may regret, you need to sit down and clearly think about this. If you were financially independent, you could have left him... you can still leave, but how would you support yourself and the girls? You don't need to worry about the girls, because it is your husband's responsibility to pay for child support. But what about yourself? So, I'd suggest you start looking for jobs immediately. You don't need to stay with him just because you're not financially secure. Start job hunting ASAP.

After you start saving enough for yourself, divorce that trashy piece of shit. You are setting a bad example for your daughters. They would feel like they should tolerate cheating when they grow up as well.. this instills a bad idea in their minds. But either way, look for a job, start saving and file for a divorce.

It would be over when I found out. The importance of self respect and showing others around you that such behavior is unacceptable is very important. Regardless of income, financial status, and work experience, I would end it.

As said in another reply. Your unfaithful husband would be required to pay child support and probably even provide spousal support for you. Since you were not working outside of the house and raising his children.

I know that any decision will be a difficult one. But speak to a lawyer and see what you are entitled to. It could be enough for you and the girls to live on comfortably.
