Why do I like women who are from a lower social class than I am?

This is very odd for me. Because I've always been somewhat materialistic and had grandiose tendencies. But even from a young age, I felt this inclination. I had a crush on the maid, and some things like that when I was a little kid. I've always wanted to take a poor girl and teach her how to be civilized, watch her transformation and perhaps play the savior.
