I keep trying to find love, but the guys I encounter verbally abuse me, try to make me a side chick.

My boyfriend right now, he says he loves me but he’s constantly reminding me that he can always get another girl, yell at me and always saying I have no common sense. I feel myself so detached from him but he’s my first boyfriend. And if I can’t love him, who else can I love? He’s invested in me but, he can get abusive at times. Can I work through this? He took my virginity and I don’t wanna start over

Respect yourself and leave him, if he’s saying those things to you honestly he does not deserve you and trust me you WILL find someone else who treats you how you deserve to be.

Seems to me that your relationship is dead. You should break up and be alone for some time. Take some time for yourself and to understand what you really want for yourself and for your life.
