My girlfriend has been wicked careless all of a sudden and hurtful as well I dont know what to do?

I've been dating her for over 2 years now and everything was really well at for a while til recently. mostly started when i ended up in the ICU for about a week and almost died. i asked for her to visit and she never came for me... the thing is she had all the time to visit and a way to do so but just never did, i needed her so bad at that point.. she doesn't really have a reason why just says sorry and thats it.. but now she's been yelling at me for really small things and she's never yelled at me and kind of puts me down while doing so. she doesn't say i love you anymore she doesn't hug or kiss me on her own at all unless i initiate it. she rejects hanging out or makes plans and cancels every single time and just makes no effort to hang out anymore or just straight blows me off to my face i always make the 40 min walk to her house if she even will let me. she just straight ignores me sometimes and the way she says things to me is really hurtfull.. i do nothing but show love to this woman all the time and give her all my time and help with anything she needs.. I've tried talking to her but she just gives me one word answers or changes the subject quickly.. am i being walked on at this point? am i looking at this wrong? there's no apparent reason for this at all.. i dont want to break up with her but its becoming too much at the same time.. any opinions help and are really appreciated.

yea I've really been thinking about what i should do.. i seriously need to start putting myself first you know? i always put her first and i think she's taking advantage of it carelessly and not giving anything in return or just putting me last

In my opinion, you two are beyond this. If she starts stepping out then it is likely that she does not see you as invincible man any longer. It does not mean that part of her does not love you. You seem to be caring, giving, and to some degree available emotionally. It seems she is not available emotionally and that you should stop prodding her. She has made a decision and things are changing. She is not sharing,,, but she is not so dead that you provide for her even now. You are going to have to wait and see if bottom drops out or get out on your gut feeling.
--Not going to hospital is clear message as is no remorse concerning that action.
--It seems to soon to know if there is still something in her heart for you.

Has she started telling you or giving ultimatums to you?

she hasn't given an ultimatum or anything.. but yea im thinking im going to let it play just a little bit more in hopes things do turn around.. im really really trying so hard to make things good with us again but there's only so much i can do on my part. she has to put in effort as well but if not and this stuff continues then ill have no choice but to move on and leave.. i really appreciate your feed back on all of this by the way.

although it was just one good phone call i do realize that and can't just go from there cuz it can definitely go right back to being bad which it probably will but it was really nice to have that call.. so im just going to see how it goes without using up too much time either

yea thats what i was starting to think.. I've had some friends and family tell me that just her not visiting me in the ICU while almost dying is enough alone to break it off with her... I've just never broke up with a girl before.. i know if i do it should be in person of course right?

yea definitely not going to be easy.. its just I've tried talking to her and she's very short and one worded with me or, she just changes the subject pretty quickly to just avoid the conversation that we both know we need to have.. im going to give it a little more time in hopes it she does eventually have this conversation but if she keeps avoiding it and keeps this behavior then ill have to make a rough decision.. its very one sided at the moment and what i mean is she makes no effort at all and im just stuck trying to make it work on my own pretty much.
