Me and this girl had a nice relationship she asked me to take her virginity then a week later she said we should not continue talking why?

I met this girl when I was living in Bali. I am from the USA her Denmark. She was 17 but 18 in a week and I was 23. We met in a cafe. I had lost my bank card and she loaned me some money which I greatly needed and appreciated. We then took a walk in the beach and started making out aa nd it was very strong energy between us. I greatly admired her shy and artistic demeanor it felt like me but a girl. We started meeting here and there on the beach and in other restaurants and cafes. Our connection was definitely growing and i know we both really liked each other. We were kissing late into the night looking like a lagoon. Then she told me she was a virgin. Then i said oh ok and i told her that i won't be the guy to take it. I tried to be very gentle with her. At that time i had a lot of worry about taking a girl's virginity because I hoped not to hurt her. Yet one night we were hanging out and she asked me to go to my house and i knew what this meant. We were sitting in the bed kissing and i stopped and said are you sure you want to lose your virginity tonight? Its ok if you just want to stop and she said no i want it. So then i we had sex honestly it was very difficult and i dont think i performed well but for me it was amazing for her it was obviously not i think she needed to loosen up before she could liked it. I truly liked her i would of loved to have a relationship with her but she became slowly distant until she eventually said she wanted to stop talking as we sat looking at the waves crash on the Indian ocean after we had dinner. Why did she want to stop talking?
