We are happy but my girlfriend going through a rough time with her job she quit but I'm still strong with a good job:> but I'm worried about her I'm comforting her so she seems to be working. But she has been kinda distant i know I'm older but what else can I do to improve it?

An 8 years difference. Not bad. Just remember she's just starting to live her adult life. Don't advice her or try to be the one in charge, just listen to her and guide her and let her guide you, when you feel lost.
