How do you feel about girls carrying guns?

Say for example a friend likes a girl, he sees at a bus shelter. But she walks away if he tries to talk to her. So he asks you to help him block her way just so he a can have a conversation with her. When you do, you find yourself with a gun pointed at you.

Situations like these are why we need stricter gun regulations.

This scenario may have been a quick jump, but in all honesty, this situation escalated the second you tried to block the girl so your boy could go up and talk to her.

You don't do that. That is quickly moving to a hostile encounter and shows bad intent. For all she knew, she just denied your friend and now she is potentially getting jumped or assaulted. That's on you for getting a gun pointed in your face.

She didn't say a word until the gun was out. She did not say no, or that she was not interested. She just got up and started walking toward me. My friend asks me not to move, and suddenly I have a gun pointed at me. Pointing that gun at me was worse than anything we did.

Secondly, she isn't obligated to talk to your friend and had every right to get up and walk off without saying anything.

Your friend still told you not to move, ie, giving you an order to keep her there so he could continue. You are now involved in this situation and she is now aware of two potential threats. Still nothing wrong with her actions here.

Friend talks to a girl
She does not answer put get up and starts walking my way
Friend asks me to not move from where I'm standing
She can't get past me, my friend continues to talk to her
She points a gun at me and tells me to get out of her way
I move because I don't want to get shot
It really felt like she would have done it if I didn't move

I mean if you're blocking her only retreat, she's going to attack, and I think anyone in that situation would but think about it from her prospective, she see's 2 guys trying to get her attention, she ignores them in an attempt to give them a hint that she doesn't want to talk to you, and yet you and your friend block her escape route, so she pulls a gun on you.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me, because now you have 2 options, 1 let her go as she wants to be left alone, or continue to pursue her and risk getting shot.

While im not a fan of guns or violence in general, using them for self defence is perfectly valid, and in this situation what you're doing constitutes to that.

Clearly, the girl in that situation felt threatened, and it's easy to understand why. She walked away because she didn't want to talk, and then two guys block her way. That's suspicious, creepy behaviour.

If I had a gun I'd have my hands on it ready to pull it in that situation too.

people carrying guns makes me twitchy at the best of times, male or female. everyone feels very tense these days and ready to fight in an instant. Guns in the hands of people who haven't put time and effort into learning how to use them properly isn't great.
