No, i would not.
And I know my significant other wouldn't ask me to give up my dream job either.
I like to travel and do things that are a bit pricey. It's good to have "your own" money.
Both of my parents worked (my dad stopped once i got to 4th grade). We had a babysitter often, but I didn't feel neglected at all.
Having your own money and stuff is definitely good. 100% straight facts.
I would never give up my dream job. I just grew up wanting to be able to take care of myself. I don't want help and I don't like asking for it. I just want my man to love me, treat me like a queen. that's it! if he can do that ill spoil him using my money lol
Nothing wrong with them having a career, but it becomes a turn off and issue if it becomes like the example you suggested.
Women who focus on careers and make it a priority over family and personal relationships is the turn off. Like if they want family, but their actions show otherwise.
I have exclusively dated women who were already career women or became a career woman after finishing university, so I'm used to them. The ones that are a turn-off are the ones who don't want a family.

I'd give up any job cuz I'd rather stay home and care for the family
I wouldn't want to give up my dream job. A DREAM job? You love everything about it and you earn a living from it? That's just wonderful! I'm not giving that up. That doesn't mean that my husband doesn't matter. I just don't want to pick either one or the other.
I would become a housewife if a guy wanted me to. I actually feel like I would enjoy that. Just cooking and cleaning seems like such a peaceful way to spend the days.
You know you lazy. 😄
You lazy too. You don't like to work. Don't feel bad. Hardly anyone likes to work too.
I don't have a career but I do freelancing work and I do like to have my own money. its not much but its enough to live off on and be independent, if a man offered me to help that would be nice but if he asked me to stay home and give up earning money I wouldn't like that. I don't over work or neglect life in that sense. but earning some money for myself gives me self esteem and its a personal thing so...
It just depends on the circumstances. It would be stupid of me to agree if the guy is working a minimum wage job and just very getting by. But I could see being open minded if he made better then minimum wage.
I wouldn’t give up my dreams for a man because you never know if you’re even gonna be together forever. At the end of the day you’ll just end up regretting it and will never get the time lost back
No women should let any man tell her what to do.
Why you feel that way?
Yeah. My career was just for the purpose of making money until I got married anyway.
yea, how is she going to have time for a family?
There's 168 hours in a week, there's plenty of time for her to have time for the family unless she's working 12, 13 or 14 hours days.
it is almost impossible to work the 40 hours a week and have time for a family. you can start by extracting the 1/3 of those hours we sleep by the way
That's plenty of time to spend with family.
it isn't. the birth rate of career women is super low. furthermore a 2008 paper called "the paradoxical decline in female happiness" from princeton demonstrated very low life satisfaction among career women. and growing.
My mom is a dentist and have 5 kids. All you ever say is mostly bs.

that's not normal, you need to stop thinking about anecdotes and instead think of the bigger trend.
stop trying to build your understanding of the world around your mommy
Well, get it in your head most men and women work around the world.
Most men around the world can't support a whole family on their own especially men living in poor countries.
She doesn't have to be a career woman to make me avoid marriage. The fact alone that she has a vagina is enough to make me stay single.
Lol what in the world I would give up my career for a man that is ridiculous! Seriously 🤦♀️
I think it’s awesome. It shows things like responsibility and helps us make money.
I’d still prefer a non-career woman over a career one
I love career women.
Housewives aren't for me.
