Anyone that has been through a narcissists discard, how did you handle it. We’re you calm or did you react?

I have but not in a romantic relationship but in a friendship. The best way I found to deal with it was just to walk away and block them in every way possible. Avoiding them and removing them out of your life is the only way to get through it. I am pretty calm about it otherwise I will lose my shit and I don't want to do that.
