When we were both 9 or 10 years old, we were in the same primary school, and quickly became good friends. Lost contact after moving on to secondary school for four years, and reconnected on instagram, because I had remembered our friendship and searched her up.
Sparks flew. I ended up telling her about someone who was my crush, and she decided to keep poking and prodding until it became obvious it was her. Turns out, she already had developed feelings for me but was too scared to tell me.
Told my parents eventually, and got forced to end things (in hindsight this was a blessing, we were still quite immature at that point in time). We were both 16, going on 17.
We still keep in contact and are good friends. She just got into a relationship with someone else, so I made it a point to contact her less. I wish her all the best.
To the asker, thanks for reminding me of the good times we had together. I dont know if i will ever find a girl who put in as much effort as she did.
And to the guy she is with, you got absolutely lucky. She isn't the prettiest girl around, but she is easily one of the most supportive. Treat her well.
Your parents are evil. Make sure you put them in a cheap nursing home. Lol
when I was 20's...
- college classmate
- cousin to my next door neighbors... lmao
- reunion/party of acquaintances
and a couple of others girls I didn't end up having a relationship with... but we gave it a try
- friend to another neighbor...
- reunion/party of acquaintances
I had been out of my relationship for about 2 months and my friends invited me over for a get together and they invited their other friend over and he had also just got out of a relationship. We hit it off really well at their house and we hung out that night and have been hanging out for a few months now.
I met my husband at work.
We exchanged emails and we both lost them. I quit that day, too unfortunately.
Then we randomly met at Walmart again 2-3months later, and exchanged phone numbers. Then we started communicating.
It was fate 🙌
That was definitely fate!
Wow! Amazing.

When I was in my 20's, I met women through work and through mutual friends. There was no online dating back then.
I met the late love of my life on the website OKCupid. com... LONG before it went woke. This was in January 2012. Dating apps weren't as bad back then, and Tinder wasn't really a thing yet.
I'm technically not in my twenties, but I still FEEL like I'm 24. I'm young at heart, if that matters.
In my 20s I was in a long term relationship with my highschool girlfriend who was 2 years younger. I went to university but stayed loyal she eventually went away to school and was not.
After that it wasn’t anything in particular. Girls from school, work, bars, dancing etc.
Typical woman.
I was working as a teacher in a high-school at the time. We dated until she graduated, I got a job elsewhere in another state and she came with me as she was pregnant and we got married. We are very happy.
You got your student (under 18) pregnant?
I suppose she was maybe 3 months pregnant b4 she graduated
I’m surprised you weren’t arrested or charged with rape tbh
Statue of limitations, I was no longer a teacher, parents oked it and we were in another state. Silly law anyhow
@77five true live won't be denied
@77five she's happy. Our children are happy.
@77five if anything she groomed me
You're normal... I watched plenty of people completely switch how they think once the law was removed from the equation. I'll never understand actual child fuckers because yuck... but the chick was able to get pregnant, so she had developed woman parts obviously. People get stuck on these laws because that's all they've ever really known. Like I've said, remove them from that and all of a sudden they're all in. I've seen it because of the military and moving around in different countries.
Another anecdotal experience of mine is my forced separation from my girlfriend the very day I turned 18. Her family was cool with it, but mine were some assholes. We were fucking and all that jazz but the day I turned 18 she was off limits all of a sudden. It hit me hard and they could of at least warned me it was going to happen. How do you force an adult to stop doing what he wants to? they have the law and I can't just go homeless. So they successfully broke up a perfectly fine relationship because of their beliefs. They're just stuck on the age thing and don't really consider much else.
Like I said, I think you're normal. Fuck these shit talkers.
@D_Bone_Steak calm down bro don’t need to get your panties a twist and start acting like a little bitch with your rant
I'm right though and I only laid out a couple of real-life experiences on this topic... that wasn't really a rant, but okay, whatever.
@D_Bone_Steak how old were you both when this happened?
@Koalamate A couple of years... California for state law reference, because I know it was perfectly legal in other states. The fact that the law around it changes so much depending on where you're at kinda points out how unnatural the law is. Put it like this, she was more fully grown than I was at that point physically.
@D_Bone_Steak I'm asking exact ages the law vary from 12 to 21.
@Koalamate... she was 16 while I turned 18. I think they modified that law since way back then, I'm not sure, but I was being told a lot of dudes were having to sign up as a sex offender due to that law.
@Jamie05rhs no I'm annon for the reason many go anon. Because ignorant people are abusive.
Opinion owner... Americans especially just have this thing with age. Not all but some go ku ku bananas if the girl is a day under 18. There is no nuance on the subject for them. Just like the adults when I was a kid... they flip out about that age stuff. You say she's 17 and 364 days old and they imagine you're taking advantage of some prepubescent kid that is being manipulated and molested against their will. They just react and don't really think about it. With that said I agree with the asker being surprised you weren't arrested or charged with rape... I mean you're among a bunch of people that think like that... you got lucky bro.
For me I lost a girlfriend I was with for years, and I just complied... My family was all too ready to destroy me for turning 18, but was all laughs and talkative with her while I was still 17. It's like a flick of a switch.
I met my previous partner at a board games club at university
We grew up together. She was my after school tutor, so some years older than me.
We briefly went our separate ways when I was around 20, reunited some years later and finally got married.
I met him in high school and he guilt tripped me and made me feel like shit for not wanting to date him when I barely knew him
I met my previous partner (s) in my 20s - few from dating apps and before that I met a few through friends of friends.
I met my girlfriend at a Halloween decoration / costume store
We meet in college, coming up to 5 years next year ❤️
I met my partner in prison
They let you out already? After only 1 year?
@Jamie05rhs
It was 5 years in a half. Lol
@Jamie05rhs
I was meant to serve 10 years. Certain crimes they will treat you as adult. No matter what
@Deed211 I believe you are lying, señor. No one gets sent to prison at age 14!
@Jamie05rhs I wish that was the case for me. The court and judges can do what ever they want to ya senora. Depending on the felony committed. You'll be surprised.
@Jamie05rhs
But to be fair, I could've gotten life in prison. So technically I can't say it wasn't fair that i gotten that low of a sentence.
Damn! I guess I probably shouldn't ask you what you did...
@Jamie05rhs
I set a wooden door of an apartment building on fire, then it spread through the lining of the building,
setting the entire building on fire. putting 3 people in the grave.
It was a day to remember
Oh my gosh. I'm sorry that happened, dude. I'm sure you didn't intend for that or expect it. I understand kids do stupid things. Sounds like you met the perfect storm of stupidity and bad luck.
@jamie05rhs why would you feel sorry for him at all? Clearly you’ve never had your house set on fire or experienced a natural disaster. It’s devastating especially if someone died. If you feel sorry for these types of people, you’re just as bad as them and I hope it happens to you so that you can learn some empathy.
Also @deed211 karma is a bitch so don’t be surprised if something like this or worse happens in the next few years for you and your family. I’m predicting it will and soon
@Asker Why the f are you getting mad at me? I didn't do anything.
@Jamie05rhs you’re excusing him for murdering innocent people
@Asker He didn't murder anyone. He didn't want any of that to happen. It was an accident.
Online! Through Reddit, actually.
Where on Reddit?
@Jamie05rhs r/interracialdating
Oh. Interesting.
@Jamie05rhs Yeah, we didn't intend to be an item, that was just how things worked out. I posted a question about how to avoid looking like I have a fetish after dating three girls of the same race in a row, she thought it was funny, we connected, and decided she's going to be girl number 4.
Haha. Funny how things work out like that sometimes.
None current. Met previous at the beach.
