Whats the difference between a man cheating and a woman cheating?

My boyfriend said if a female cheats her emotions are involved and if the guy she cheats on her partner with has sex with her better she will leave the relationship. And if a man cheats they could just sleep with someone and not have any feelings involved and still love there partner is that true?

A lot of men's self esteem is derived from their ability to attract women for sex. That doesn't instantly go away when men get into a relationship - especially if the girl they are with tapers off in regards to enthusiasm for sex. And self esteem is perhaps the most addictive thought there is - the nature of addiction is that it's hard to put it down of your own volition. Men will still want to know they can seduce women even if they are in a loving relationship.

Whereas a lot of women's self esteem appears to be derrived from their ability to attract men for companionship. That also wouldn't instantly go away - especially if the guy they are with tapers off in regards to enthusiasm for romance. Et cetera...

These two reasons have a lot in common despite being so wildly different - like two sides of a yin yang. But it does explain why you hear of this thing "emotional cheating" being complained about almost entirely by women and why if anyone is to ever forgive a cheater it is usually a woman, once she has convinced herself it was "only about sex" - which it almost always is for men. Whereas when women engage in "sexual cheating" for emotional reasons, men can't see it as "only about companionship" because sex happened. You can't really say that the sex was a lie like men can say they lied to women they cheat with about loving then or whatever - because the guys women cheat with definitely get off. If it was just a eunuch or something providing ample companionship but no dick, most men would have no problem with that.

Its human nature to cheat, we (as in human as a whole) are meant to multiply and have many offsprings.

People may get upset because their partner cheated and they have that right. Cheating fucking hurts. I been cheated on and I know the pain.

But fact is fact: Cheating is one of humans natural animal instincts, its in our DNA. It all goes back to the earliest humans where the species must survive.

Believe it or not. Humans were not always top of the food chain. Cheating and having multiple babies with multiple humans was a way to keep the human species from going extinct.

I would love to say humans mate for life, but they don't. We're always looking at other humans, even if we have that lifetime partner.

It's true... I'm only saying that because you're not refuting how the female side thinks, so I'm assuming it's true. On the male side though it is very possible to "just have sex" and there is literally no emotional connection to the act at all. Feelings could get involved, but that would take a lot of time. Lust at first sight is more of a male trait to have, but love at first sight is womanish.

I lived in a country where prostitution was legal and I'd have sex with about 3 different girl a night and never once even thought about "love" or relationship stuff. Eventually, the American government changed all that (human trafficking arguments)... and to say the least I had a dry spell and had to figure bullshit like picking up girls out of bars. So I finally landed a couple of long-term girlfriends at the same time... sort of like my alternative to satisfying my sexual urges, but relationships are a twisted web of stuff compared to having some sex and then drinking a few beers before having some more sex on demand. Then I came back to the states... uggghhh.

I'll be blunt with my opinion here, if prostitution was legal... there wouldn't be guys needing to act like pickup artists, or manipulate anyone. The playboys would be occupied and perfectly happy not to be dealing with emotional stuff. The guys seeking something serious would pretty much be more of a guarantee that they're serious. ... well... a broke guy might still play games. I mean he's fucking broke. lolz

I'd like to also add that with legal prostitution... there would also be less women that play games... they'd get what they want and bow out when they're just out there for the money. These are generally true. A guy will cheat just to have sex with someone else, and go back to being happy in their relationship. If a girl cheats, while she may think it's just physical desire/ need, they can't help but get emotionally involved. Even if it's not with the guy they have sex with, but having sex with other people will emotionally take them away from their partners- numb them to the connection. Girls simply cannot have sex like men can, they know this, so when they cheat they do so because their current relationship is seriously lacking.

It's a bigger statment when a woman cheats because the men a woman is willing to sleep with are much closer to the calibre of men she would want a relationship with, so she's more interested in leaving the relationship.

In theory, a man can sleep with a woman without having even the remotest interest in her emotionally. It's not necessarily an indication that the marriage is emotionally falling apart for a man to cheat because of how much lower the standard is.

More often, true than false. More men can separate sex from love than women can. So generally a woman who cheats has some emotional part of her cheating, while a guy can only have it sexually.
