While men may lie more, are our lies bigger?

I've had this discussion with a couple friends about which gender lies more. They agreed that men can be jerks and lie by lovebombing women too much and doing the typical ''We'll get married and have kids one day'' lie; doing that just to get in her pants.

However, they said that a manipulative woman's lies are bigger, major, serious lies such as baby-trapping a man and making him believe it was an accidental pregnancy or lying about him being the father of the baby. Sometimes the woman even carries that lie to the grave and by the time he finds out she's dead or he dies without ever knowing the truth. So basically we don't lie as much as men in quantity but in quality it surpasses. Would you say this is true?

I agree. I don't see men falsely accusing women of rape/physical abuse just because he's mad.
