My boyfriend did this a few months ago. It was the day of his sisters wedding and my bag got stolen on the way to the hotel. We went shopping the day of the wedding and I couldn't fund anything I liked. He got so fed up that when I tried on a jumpsuit he said I looked looked a fat beached whale. I have an eating disorder so yes I was upset. I. The end I didn't go to the wedding. I starved myself for days after. Those words will stand by me forever.

Lol I would FEEL bad, but I wouldn't ask him, unless I was ready for an answer to actually SOLVE the potential problem. If I'm fat and plan to do nothing about it, I probably shouldn't ask, or instead, ask him to lie and shower me with kisses lol.

I do this when I'm wearing something new. If I think it looks odd, I'll get a 2nd opinion; if he says it looks bad too then I accept it and have him help me pick out a flattering outfit. Other than that, if I know I look cute, I won't ask.

I feel sorry for guys, especially when they are asked questions like this and expected to just say how great their partner looks without hesitating, as they feel like they can't be honest and say how they truthfully feel or like they are being "tested."
