My boyfriend did this a few months ago. It was the day of his sisters wedding and my bag got stolen on the way to the hotel. We went shopping the day of the wedding and I couldn't fund anything I liked. He got so fed up that when I tried on a jumpsuit he said I looked looked a fat beached whale. I have an eating disorder so yes I was upset. I. The end I didn't go to the wedding. I starved myself for days after. Those words will stand by me forever.
I wouldn't ask. I seriously wish men would break up with their chick the second she does this. She knows she's just setting him up to get mad at whatever he says

Look, as someone that used to be fat, I rather someone tell me if I'm gaining weight or don't look good in something, than lie just to spare my feelings. No, I won't like it at first, but I'll appreciate his honesty.

I'm not Fat therfor it would just be a Lie and I'd call him out on his bullshit or Try to get him to Explain how i look fat in a Very detailed way.
If he could'nt Explain Logical Details. how me a Young Beautiful petite blonde is Fat then I would tell him to Quit playing and Give off a laugh and say oh honey You must be Tired get some rest and we'll talk later.
Lol I would FEEL bad, but I wouldn't ask him, unless I was ready for an answer to actually SOLVE the potential problem. If I'm fat and plan to do nothing about it, I probably shouldn't ask, or instead, ask him to lie and shower me with kisses lol.
Maybe I'd then ask him: do you love me fat? or no
If he doesn't- I'd cry and try to fix it lol or if he likes it, that's all that matters, and I'll just try to not gain anymore. What am I trying to do, surpass an elephant? XD
I do this when I'm wearing something new. If I think it looks odd, I'll get a 2nd opinion; if he says it looks bad too then I accept it and have him help me pick out a flattering outfit. Other than that, if I know I look cute, I won't ask.
Id appreciate the honesty - why ask if you didn't want an honest answer?
I feel sorry for guys, especially when they are asked questions like this and expected to just say how great their partner looks without hesitating, as they feel like they can't be honest and say how they truthfully feel or like they are being "tested."
I'd feel terrible but I'd appreciate the honest truth and change into something I looked and felt better in.
I would change the outfit and wear something which fits me perfectly certain dress can look baggy and have poor fitting
Depending on HOW he said it, I'd be fine with it.. I'd rather him tell me the truth, but with tact and humility 🥰
