Why does my distrust of my boyfriend go up the more he exhibits trusting and committed behaviour?

Well, after going through heartbreaks and disappointments it’s hard to receive genuine love and not worry that he will switch up at any time and hurt you. All I can say is not to let fear and worry become part of your identity. There’s no guarantee that he won’t hurt you one day, but it doesn’t mean you actively anticipate it happening and build your wall of distrust higher and higher.
