Can cheating ever be forgiven and worked out in all these cases?

RonsH

I've never cheated nor been cheated on but a couple of my friends and two relatives have. Some were lucky the cheater confessed out of guilt but others had to find out or catch the cheater.

Some of them worked things out. There were only two successful stories. If the cheater is remorseful and willing to do anything to reconcile, I was wondering if cheating can ever be forgiven and worked out in all these cases:

- The cheaters comes forwards and confesses everything without trickle truth. You never had to find out nor catch them. They told you themselves.

- You find out through others or the very person they cheated with tells you. You basically had to be told by third parties.

- You find out through written messages with explicit details, bills or other evidence. You had to dig into evidence or they accidentally left undeleted texts.

- Their conversation have been recorded and you overheard everything and all the details.

- You walked into them in bed, in your house, on the couch or elsewhere right in the act. Or you actually got a hold of video and saw it all.

The only two successful stories was about my friend's girlfriend admitting to a ONS the following day and my aunt finding out through the other woman telling her.
But yeah, I haven't seen successful reconciliation for the other cases. I suppose it can happen and be worked out but I'm guessing it's going to be much, much harder.
