Can cheating ever be justified?

So my current boyfriend was mad at me for a few things I did to him. He was so mad he says “I’m starting to see why ______ cheated on you” he can see why my ex cheated on me. I may have been a pain in the ass to my ex but never cheated on him and don’t agree with that type of behavior. With the result of his cheated he even gave me a std that my current boyfriend knew my ex gave me.

No there isn't any good reason to cheat on someone. The best one I've heard so far is when someone cheats and then admits it, the other one is so hurt that they say the only way they can move on is if they get to cheat too, but if they end up liking the other person better they are ending it. If not then they can move on together.

I think weird people but being difficult or whatever someone else thinks does not justify it.

I have also had ex's say, I can see why your ex cheated on you.

To answer the question directly, cheating in of itself cannot be justified. There are many reasons to do it, some more morally gray than others, but overall the outcome is the same. It's likely that your current boyfriend was extremely unhappy with you in the moment, and by saying what he did, he could be hoping that your desire to continue the fight would cease. In any debate or discussion, when your opponent targets you instead of your ideas or the problem at hand, it's time to break off that line of discussion as personal attacks aren't going to change anyone's mind. It's reprehensible, but I'd suggest removing yourself from the situation until everyone calms down then having a discussion on how and why things got that heated and better ways to communicate.

justification means "the action of showing something to be right or reasonable." I don't know if cheating be shown to be "right". maybe it can be situationally from a subjective point of view. but it can 100% be shown to be reasonable as in there's "a reason for your action". so yes, cheating can be justified. just like hitting someone can be justified. there's plenty of reasons to hit a person right? you just don't do it cause that would be wrong normatively.

so i think the question you were "really" asking is: "should cheating ever be normatively considered to be good? and i think the answer to that is no.

The only person who justifies cheating are those who have or do cheat. They provide excuses , reasons and explanations to try to justify their infidelity. They do this by laying the blame on their partner , so they can cheat without any consequences. They feel they can cheat without feeling guilty or being the "bad one' if they can justify it in their own mind and convince you of the same thing..

Yes and no. Personally I believe there is no reason for a man to be sexually limited if the girl doesn't have her virginity to offer him. But I mean I tell girls I date this. Never an excuse. You maybe started it bad, but your ex made it worse. If your ex was normal, he would have just break up with you. Your boyfriend however may be just hot tempered and didn't think in the situation, or he is not normal as well.
