Do cuddles and hugs die down the longer your in a long term relationship?

Basicly me and my partner are very cuddly and hugging and I wouldn’t change it for the world, but my mum and her partner don’t hug or cuddle anymore and her friend and her partner of 30 years they don’t have any intimacy. basically said to me enjoy it while it lasts

And now I am worried if this happens in most relationships. ?

As long as you keep it playful and creative, it will continue to stay new and alive. It only dies when people get into a rut and it becomes an obligation rather than something to enjoy. Ask your partner to share a perspective on it. If both of you prioritize things, they will remain important forever. Yes it will calm down the honeymoon phase of a relationship doesn’t last ever. Where everything is cute, cuddly, and insatiable. It takes real work and communication, be playful, creative. Prioritize yourself, so if you have kids (not sure) but schedule time for yourself like date nights, or spending time with each other. Remember tho you’re individuals if your to clingy it’s not good and won’t work, gotta have balance and give it your all!

We are past honeymoon stage 6 years still going strong hugging cuddling make time for each other. Hopefully it will never die ❤️🙏🏻

@Jadethedream it can die down. You have to/must work at it. It takes a conscious effort. I wouldn't worry about it or despair. Just be thoughtful and deliberate about it. Also, have that communication with your partner. Tell them that the cuddles and the hugs are really important to you. You'll find that you still get them.
