So I want to get married, he wants to in like 2-3 years from now I guess to get more money, he has a good paying career. I've waited 2 years in an engagement and no plans have been made about marriage. Now I'm tired of waiting. I'm gonna talk to him about how I feel and not wait around. I love him but if it means leaving then I'll do so.

Were your body count +5 it would be a virtual 0% chance as after 5 its extremely difficult for women to pair bound (fall in love) which is why women tend to "get bored" etc... So sit down confused girl, adults are talking.

Now as to something that hasn't really been mentioned this entire time. Your fiance. Assuming your in a western country, why should he risk half his estate, future alimony checks, and possibly future child support so you can have a status. What's the benefit to him? You'll have to explain why he should risk all this vs staying in your current relationship which keeps the state out of your business and you both reap the benefits. I mean compromise and have a ceremony, get rings, but I'd suggest not getting legally married.

by the way I was married for 17 years, thankfully my ex didn't drag me through divorce, but she could have, easily. And we're even still on good terms. So I have plenty of experience from both angles.
