Focus on what you bring to the relationship to keep it new and alive rather than what the other person should be doing. We can wait for life to invite us in, or we can be active participants in our relationship. If you are an active partner, yet still lonely, then you probably chose the wrong partner. Don't keep investing in a losing cause.

Identify the kind of attention you want and need from a partner and pursue that.

I don't have an answer for you. I was the most alone and lonley in relationships that should of ended. Maybe talk to your partner and see what you can do together.

Ask yourself what's lacking in the relationship besides communication - is your partner aware of your feelings? Open up to him and see what his response will be like. Good luck.

First, check on why you are feeling this way. Is your partner not appreciating you enough? Not enough time together? Lack/less communication than usual?

My ex and I are not compatible in terms of this. I can go for days without talking to her, but she wants to talk daily. Every time I don't show too much interest on talking, I feel she gets a bit lonely.

Spend more time together, interact more with each other, and communicate your needs to him.

      You're welcome.
I hope it works out for you because I even felt lonely sometimes while laying next to my ex-wife. she wasn't home enough and when she was she would sleep a lot. She didn't want to change and sometimes the relationship is just too broken to fix.

To be honest 23 is kind of young to be feeling lonely in the relationship. My ex and I had been together for like 14 years before we drifted apart. You guys should still be crazy in love, or fighting, anything but lonely.

I hear you, that's when I felt lonely too. She wanted me to hold her, but she was asleep and I was just laying there staring off into space frustrated that she wasn't making time for me anymore.

I guess it would depend on how the loneliness manifests. Is it living / being together and to not communicating? Is it not being together? If it's the former, then I think communication is the only way to bring you closer. If you can't communicate, I don't know how you can be close.

Be in a relationship with a person who actually wants to spend most or all of their time with you.

Having a hobby and just being busy helps. If anything…you can always communicate with your partner about it.
