Does the Friendzone exist?

I personally don’t believe that it does. I saw a tweet that said, “No one is obligated to like you because you have feelings for them. You can’t make someone have feelings for you. No one ones you anything for being nice.” And I agree with this sentiment 100%.

I think people, especially men, have a hard time realizing that no one is owed a relationship and that no one has to like you simply because you like them back. The friend zone doesn’t exist because no one is pointing a gun to your head and saying you have to remain friends with the person who rejected you. But YOU chose to remain friends with the person because you want to be a predator and wait for the day the person you like hopefully “changes their mind”. People who complain about the friend zone are just entitled people who want to throw a pity party for themselves and justify the consequences of their own malicious actions instead of taking accountability.

of course the "friendzone" exists. if a girl likes me and wants to be in a relationship with me or wants sex with me but i don't want any of that, she's in the friendzone. that's what the friendzone is. and it exists cause i put girls in the friendzone and i know i was in the friendzone of girls before. so of course this is a thing. pointless to deny that this happens. everyone knows that you're not entiteled to being loved. i'm not debating that but you can't just switch off your feelings. that's not how feelings work. if you love a person, you still love them even if they told you they don't reciprocate your feelings.

Not been on here for ages , this popped up & I agree with your summary , the Zone is a self imposed mental prison. The ONLY positive action is to break all ties & move on. I am glad I am detached by nature & this is easy for me.
