Although there are shades of this in many relationships, it's more that one person has more interest and investment in one area than the other person so they tend to them be more demonstrative.

There is NO Majority vote or veto. Marriages are an equal partnership between a man and woman. Each may have their own expertise, which benefits the family as a whole, but all decisions should be made by both partners equally participating, unless one defers to the other.

No doubt that was true more than 100 years ago, but it is fantasy to believe that is how it in modern Western countries. Over 100 years ago, women didn't have much choice if they wanted support for themselves and the children. In modern Western countries, the government guarantees that husbands, especially ex-husbands, pay for their support.
