Why do I feel so depressed when I’m in a relationship but when I’m single I want one? Does anyone experience the same thing?

It's because being in a relationship requires people to put up with each other's crap and it can be good and bad.

When a person is single they miss the sex and the good times of companionship and the high points of being in love. We often forget the bad stuff and how hard it can be to deal with a partner sometimes.

Yeah it can be really really bad. Dealing with someone else who may not be willing to compromise on some things

Yeah that's how my marriage was. I don't miss trying to deal with a person who makes plans for us constantly and then cries if she doesn't get her way and gives me the silent treatment for days afterwards.

you find a way not to be depressed and stressed when in a relationship; or not to will to be in a relationship while you aren't in one.
Which of the two ways comes easier to you is a part of who you are, you can't change it; you can find it out.

Thanks. I guess it’s due to being simply tired of pedantic arguments and nonsense. As you know when you’re in a relationship you’re dealing with another person and the other person may be totally different to you in some ways. For example if you’re content to sit at home a lot of the time and they’re not then conflict may arise there and honestly I’m done with petty squabbles. Compromise sure but just because you can go out all the time doesn’t mean you have to. Thanks for the advice
