Ho should a boyfriend treat his girlfriend?

hi! me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 1,5 years. right now, im the one working so i usually pay for things when we go out, I've had a talk with him a lot in the past about how i want to finally be treated wel in this relationship and all I've asked him was for him to make me feel like a woman. i dont ask for expensive stuff, I've mentioned to him that i do wants some flowers from time to time but anytime i talk about this, he victimizes himself and says he has no money ( note that he had a high paying job 3 months ago but never bought it for me ) . even now, it doesn't cost a more than 5$ where i live. do you think its a red flag? i think i deserve to be treated well when all I've given him was my love.
