was it just my fear or i overthinks too much? what happened was that my friend had talked bad shits about this girl (ps: he was telling me how the girl was super close to him and calling him by pet names) after he played her because he wasn't interested in her. i was wondering if he could also does the same to me if he would lose his feelings to me one day.

If I were you I wouldn’t put anything past anyone. If he backstabbed her then it’s possible he will do you the same at some point, I had it happen with my best friend of over 15 years, I never thought it would be me. Maybe try creating some distance.
