The pictures made me smile. :) The song is really good. Four letter word in the sense of "other" four letter words? Nah. Love's pretty awesome. BUT... if we're talking about the WOW factor contained by the word in the same way you'd say "sh$@" when you hit your thumb with a hammer, then yeah!

As Daniela said, it is down to the choice of two words that most think what love is. It is between having love for someone or making love with someone. Guess which one is misguided?

I'm probably interpreting your question wrong or you asked it rhetorically, but I'd say "having love" is passive and "making love" (either interpretation of it) is active, so having love is, in a way, misguided. :) Action is always better than not.
