How do I comfort my boyfriendwho had a pee accident?

So he was driving and it was just me and him. We were in the middle of nowhere when he admitted he needed to pee badly. 30 minutes later and he absolutely couldn't hold it any longer. We had no bottles or anything. He told me he was going to pull the car over and just... go. So he pulls over, gets out, and looks around to make sure nobody was watching (nobody was even around) but before he could find a place to pee or at least walk away and have an accident, he couldn't hold it any longer and has an accident right there by the drivers seat of his car with me plainly in view. He was mortified. I felt terrible for him, especially because he soaked his pants and I cannot imagine how bad it hurt to hold it that long. He told me he is so super embarrassed. I don't want him to be embarrassed though. I understand accidents happen. What do I do?

Ok i talked to him. I haven't had anything like that to happen, but I know others that have. I told him I knew it was a total accident and that he couldn't hold it any longer. He said he feels a little better but also said he just can't get over the embarrassment of but happening in front of me. I told him it's OK. I actually think he almost cried to know that it's really okay with me. What do you think that means? Maybe he had a past traumatic experience? (by the way he usually would laugh at himself so this is odd)

Nobody talks about (or admits to) such stories but they are common. Tell him to own it and move on. It's something that happened. And when you're pumping out a baby he can reflect that you're then even.

He said he was afraid I would judge him. I felt so bad he thought that! I told him accidents happen even to adults and promised it was our little secret. It seemed to help

If he feels about peeing like this, whats his reaction when he has to poop?

I don't know. He honestly acts more okay about it I think. Like there are times he will just go to the bathroom for 10-15 minutes (I guess to poop) but other times he holds it and holds it when he has to pee. Does that sound like he's been traumatized?
