Why do guys get mad at their girlfriend when other guys are hitting on her but they do the same?

Guys get mad at their girls when other dudes hit on them or are nice or friendly or flirt even if they know the girl is in a relationship, but then why do they absolutely hate it when their girlfriend does it back to them?

Both genders really get mad for being like the same exact people that flirt with their partners..

Because it is not the same people doing it. The loyal partner in the relationship has a legitimate reason to be upset if their SO is being disloyal and flirting with others.

by the way, it IS disloyal to post provocative pictures online when in a relationship because they are purposely looking for attention from others outside the relationship.

I think it's because deep down they know they're wrong for the thoughts that they have about other women. They know what another guy is thinking more or less when he sees you and it makes them feel insecure. (The ones who are like this)

I see it this way, too.
My boyfriend would say that other guys will flirt with me if I wore like a crop top and skirt, but I know for sure they won't because I'm average looking. But my boyfriend would argue back, trying to make me believe it. When I questioned him, "are you saying that because you know you're that type of guy?" And he would get mad at me and say that I don't know what he's talking about.

But obviously I know exactly what he's talking about and I know what I'm talking about, too, because no guy has ever just straight up come and flirt with me at all. And he does not believe that.

But the way he responds or reacts when I asked him that question, it makes me believe that he's that type of person that would go and flirt with someone straight up if they're wearing sexy.

My boyfriend literally does not want me dressing sexy if he's not with me... :/

Your boyfriend, if I may say this, sounds very insecure. Maybe he has some self esteem issues and he feels like another guy could take you away from him.

I can relate to what you're saying, my partner said similar things in the past when we were both younger. However, please don't let that change your opinion or view about certain things in life.

I will say, please don't ignore your intuition. There's a reason that you're feeling the way that you are, it doesn't always stem from insecurities as many people would more than likely say.
