Ex has started to come visit after 10 months. This only happened after I told him I'm not dating. Does he want to get back together?

Broke up a year ago, but we've been in contact all the time. We weren't seeing each other in person for 10 months. A couple months ago he told me he is still single and he asked if I was dating, which I am not. After this he's started to come over to help with stuff, buys me things, loaned me his car an more. Yesterday he came over twice. He has taken to hugging me tightly and kissing my head and cheeks. I'm wondering if he may want to get back together?
