My decision was due to feminism and the damage that feminism has caused. I don't see things repairable anymore. How about you? I want to know if you have made basically the same decision to never date or get married and what was your reason.
+1 yI personally do think I will get married, and I'm definitely am not dating right now. i think that love in general is a lot more toxic then people want to believe. the idea of being completely absorbed in some else life. giving them control over a lot of aspects of my life, that just honestly sounds terrifying. I'm someone who appreciates my own freedom and space. so I can't imagine choosing to stay with someone who will enviably develop a co-dependent relation to me in all aspects.
I also have never seen a good example of an loving romantic relationship, nether on television. (Tw: emotions) I often saw my parents fighting when I was younger, and they even started to complain about each other and use each other as bad examples of who not to be or not to marry when I grew up. also when my mother was upset bout dad or work she would take it out on me or my siblings.
(Tw: sexual relationships) most of the people who have declared being "inlove" with me were never actually in love with me. most were people who only saw my body and were clearly just in heat or lonely. the most part when I asked them what they liked about me, they would go into gross detail about my body and what they wanted to do, and might say "oh yeah your personality to". The only to times it was different was a queer girl that keep projecting her own struggles onto me, and I lonely guy who seemed to like the idea of marriage but didn't really get to know me.
In romantic relationships, i just didn't feel seen. people immediately wanted me to play a role in their fantasizes. They didn't take the time to get to know me, and I lot of romantic or sexual relationships just made me feel trapped, used and ignored. this might be a me problem, but that's still all the more proof that romance isn't really for me and I'm not likely to find a relationship that I'm comfortable in.
sorry for trauma dumping lol
but those are just my personal reasons for not seeking love and I'm not going to blame a particular political movement for that.

+1 yIf I was single and not married, I would probably still be single. I don't attract much attention and even if I did I wouldn't date cause I'm a very shy/introverted person. Plus I'm hearing a lot of the horror stories about dating and what a lot women are encountering these days. The cheating, the lying, the deceptive games going on.. it's too much. People's hearts are turning cold and instead turning to a man or woman, people need to turn to God/Jesus again cause at this moment that is number one relationship most people need but lack these days.
11 Reply- +1 y
Yes in deed you got it people need to turn back to God and Jesus Christ. The warnings are very clear in Isaiah and Revelation only people turned a blind eye. God warned people haven't listened.
Women are encountering the backlash caused by feminism the damage feminism caused it has made full circle now men know the game is rigged there are no winners and it's at a stalemate now.
+1 yI kind of gave up on it when I was 35. After twenty years of attempting to find someone to share my life with I was still a virgin and had yet to be on a single date with a very large rejection rate. By that point I figured that it was kind of pointless in so many different ways that I just stopped trying. I am 43 now and have not attempted any relationship with women in the last eight years. Many might consider that drastic or extreme but it is kind of a shock how trying to date and not trying lead to the same conclusion.
21 Reply- +1 y
That is about the same age when I stopped trying. I somehow kept hoping though things would somehow get better maybe turn around in my lifetime but they never did they only got worse and worse. At that age I had begin thinking about adoption hoping I could so life wouldn't end totally alone only to find out that was hopeless too even there I didn't stand a chance. Finally it was around 2017 I think when the realization of living out life on empty started really sinking in. But I'm stubborn I don't give up easily not until there is absolutely nowhere to go and I have had time to deal with it and my emotions. Finally in 2021 I being seeing it for how it is. It's still hard to accept it's just the facts I have to live with.

+1 yI am probably going to do the parenting thing on my own so that I can still have my genetic line around when I do die.
I am not too hopeful to be honest with you on the relationship thing either. Men are too picky and judgmental or narcissistic or even Mama's Boys. I even dated a homeless druggy, 8 years my senior, that was abusive, that's how desparate I got. And due to that, when I took him to the E. R. because he thought he had Testicular Cancer (he could have just as well gone to the doctors for that instead of the damn E. R. where I saw someone throwing up and I am sure there's people that were DYING there too. It was very traumatic and scary for me)! So yeah... I don't know... I don't want to lose hope though but I am wary now. Too tired. My hairs gotten gray and I've got some crows feet and a cancer scare myself due too all that trauma I endured.
I feel done. It will NOT kill me anyway to not have a man. It's not a life and death thing. Going to that E. R. and seeing certain things really put things in perspective for me for what is truly important and what isn't. I can only control myself at the end of the day, never another person!
03 Reply- +1 y
You are a person who dates a druggy and yet judge others?
- +1 y
@ThinkerShell Dued what's your problem, I was just trying to be honest! Where did I say that I was judging people? ! Also, I have the right to reject anyone that isn't compatible with me or will make my life HARDER. You're really mean and judgmental yourself since you don't even know me personally and yet you feel the need to criticize my choices! Fuck you and I hope you get cancer or at least have a cancer scare you cruel bitch!

Hmm... May I response different parts of your reply?
+1 yBeing married for 14 years. If this ends there is no way in hell I'd come back to it. You have to accept shit you, in your deepest of guts, know is just wrong to keep the relationship going. All that dirty wrong stuff is going to be things you have to accept... just to stay together.
My mind actually feels like it will hold you back. It will keep you from being as great as you could be. It's like throwing shackles on yourself. Ask me what I would've done with my time and money... it's all slanted because of her. Why have I done this? I'm a dude that's never had a problem finding a random vagina to bang... it was self-sabotage.

+1 yYes, I said I would never get married. I said I didn't want kids. Both were because of the examples I had from my own family. My parents were traditional and my mother became a feminist because my father was an overbearing jerk with a violent temper.
In my early 20s, I was dating without expectations and ended up in a ltr. Then, I wanted to get married. We split up because he couldn't decide what he wanted. I met someone else who wanted to marry me and I fell in love with him. We're still married. He wanted kids and I was on the fence. We gave up b. c. and I was pregnant the very first time we didn't use prevention. I fell in love this time with being a mom and had more. I'm so glad I was wrong!
Anyhow, my husband and I have pretty traditional roles by today's standards and I think it makes a big difference because life is predictable and we don't hold resentments.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yYeah a few years ago my ex cheated on me and that shattered me. I went through different stuff. Like I wanted to try cheating because I didn't want to commit myself to a relationship. I didn't want to get married, I stopped believing in marriage and dating. I wanted to do a casual relationship with no strings attached. I ended up doing none of that I was just angry. That was 7 years ago and I don't believe in that anymore. Not sure if I'll get married it's not on my mind and I don't really get out enough to where it's a concern. But just living day by day and trying to enjoy life as much as I can now.

And most bring nothing but baggage to relationship. I haven't decided to never date again so much as I'm realistic about who's left. I'm not going to get my hopes up at this point. 🤣🤣🤣

@Confusedashell TY for this this is an excellent post to show what men have to go through and the thought process they should be using
- +1 y
@Vegasrunner this is what women like myself are now going through given the change in modern times.
- +1 y
You can still date or be in a relationship I just wouldn’t tie yourself or lock yourself into anything that might screw your over
- +1 y
@confusedaahell Perhaps a insignificant percentage but the overwhelming majority of relationships force men to bear that burden. What I like most about your comment is that it looks at the issue logically vs w/ emotion which is something men do when looking at marriage. If more men looked at it logically like you they would come to same conclusion as you. It also gives insight into how women would react if they were forced to take the risk in marriage.
- +1 y
@confusedashell123 agreed but in my opinion it's so much more difficult for women because women are stilled judged by the quality of man they are able to retain.
- +1 y
Even dating and relationships in general are all risky for men because rules that apply to marriage can apply especially if they decide to spend the night and even more so if they live together.
+1 yI'm afraid I'm starting to think those things as well, because of these modern times. I want love but I'm scared at the same time.

08 Reply- +1 y
I spotted someone that doesn't want to hear the truth.
PS And I am just as uninterested in them as they are in me as you have obviously read in the description.
Opinion Owner+1 yI spotted someone who can't get a woman to save his life so he blames it on feminism @spokentruth. So all women are feminist just because they don't like you? Get over it
- +1 y
You got it half right however. The entire western system has been pitted against men through the aid of feminism and any smart men who recolonize they are targets of said system will avoid any and ALL, women, under said system that targets and vilifies men. Most men aren't stupid as you'd like us to be. We know it and you don't like it because we let you know we know it.
Opinion Owner+1 yDude face it no one is interested in you. Bottom line shit has nothing to do with feminist. Quit blaming that shit on everything. You're unattractive, most likely don't have enough money and you sound mentally ill and angry. Get a life 58 and on gag

And it would do them no good if they were interested because I would no interest in them. See how well that works out?
- +1 y
Oh, so it's you again. You know it's funny you keep saying that I can't get a date when the facts have it that at least two have accused me of being gay because I wouldn't jump in the sake with them. Yeah that's actually a thing believe it or not it is. If a guy won't sleep with Ms Irresistible she goes around calling him gay. And more than likely more than them at least went away thinking I was gay too. And there here is you, oh the irony of it you making me laugh at you hard.

Anonymous(18-24)+1 yPretty much because men are sluts nowadays (so are women), materialistic, atheists and assholes.
00 ReplyOkay, but what do you mean by feminism?
06 Reply- +1 y
I'm talking about the damage feminism has caused to western society.
- +1 y
Yeah, I perceived that. But the majority of it is on the internet, and not in the average person you'll meet day to day.
Your life choices are up to you, and I won't tell you to change them. But it is seriously disheartening for all the thousands of women who don't have purple hair and screech about their rights on Twitter. Guys seem ready to give up on them.
I really think though that if you actually don't want marriage, or dates, you should re-evaluate and pick a better reason. - +1 y
And you would be very surprised at not only how many of those situations I have ran into in person in real life. It's not just on the internet it's everywhere I have encountered it personally up close in person.
And as far as picking a different reason, I have so many where would I start. You know along with someone to love that would love me back the same there was something else I wanted out this earthly life. I wanted children of my own too and that's no longer possible. Once I found out that it wasn't simply me which I already knew it wasn't I just thought it was only me that realized it. But once I could confirm though societal views how the world views me how women view me and how even children have been taught to view me and view men in general, it was then I came to the conclusion there was nothing left hang it up it is over.
I had to live a life without dating, I had to live a life without marriage, and one of the most painful parts for me is living a life without children. I came to that realization roughly almost two hears ago and closed it down guess you could say I retired.
There is no point me marrying anymore. There is a huge gap spanning years across and there are no precious memories to fill that gap and no hope in even changing what is left with nothing I can think of to see anything going forward fulfilling there is no reason to pursue the dreams that are no longer there not the dreams I wanted just the reality I face. - +1 y
I have no complaint about you not wanting to marry, seriously. I'm just saying, girls have seen the bad side of men many times, heavily expanded on the internet, but in real life as well, and I just think it would be nice if we didn't promote our experiences to other people like it's just the fact of life now. As I said, not wanting to get married is fair, and everyone's personal choice. But I don't think it should be because of feminism. I hate it as much as you, though, especially given it's started to make men think that if they've met a few they've met them all.
Anyway, I hope you find fulfillment in your life in other ways. - +1 y
Yes and guys have seen the bad side of women too both in internet and real life. And the overall experiences those girls have had were from the men they chose to be with and girls chose them not based on love or who those men were but based on how much those men were worth financially what those men had what they were worth their careers that status their fame etc thinking they could change those men into what they wanted them to be.
Wasn't a abuser, I wasn't a rapist, I wasn't a cheater, none of the things I have been accused of and most men which are what are known as in the lower 80 something percent that women outright ignored they aren't any of those things either but they like myself have certainly been accused of it.
It took years and years to derail society to the point it has become and feminism was the go to driving force behind making that happen. Men are the actual victims while women are the actual privileged the evidence to prove it is out there it's there everywhere it's overwhelming and the damage has come full circle which means it's not simply effecting men anymore it has now boomeranged and effecting women now. Many many know the situation is rigged many have lost and many have quit and as many will. It has reached a stalemate and it's now effecting women. - +1 y
The effect feminism has had on the society the system the laws, views disadvantages and risk it has caused to men.
