Maybe I am just over reacting. My boyfriend is taking his son to Orlando for a week. He told me I am always welcomed to come if I pay for me and my daughter tickets he’ll pay for the rest of the expenses. So I decided not to go because I can’t really afford it right now.

Maybe he doesn't want to pressure you into coming, especially if you're paying for the tickets so he's not sure what your financial situation is and whether you can afford it or no.
