Why do men stay with their wives who they cheat on consistently?

So what you're asking is, why does a man with options and a wife, take advantage of those options and keep the wife?

In reality for many reasons exclusive to their own. Some guys can, if given the chance. Some guys fear divorce. Some guys like to live dangerously. Some guys want variety. Some guys have low-self esteem. Some guys don't value their wife. Some guys just need some release from a fridet wife just to name the main reasons.

Are they justified? Cheating is cheating, regardless who does it. If a person can square with that, they don't have good character. Which begs to ask, why do people waste their time on bad people? Why marry them and expect a different outcome?

In my case it is for the kids (so they have both parents in the home until they are out of high school). The wife started rationing sex / using it for control rather than connecting/intimacy. After rationing/control, it went to no sex with occasional oral and now nothing. And the sad part…. I am a giver / pleaser that has been reduced to a minimalist (to the wife anyway). Being used / taken advantage of gets old after a little over a decade of negativity/micro managing/no sex…. Not what I ultimately wanted or set out to do / occur…..

One is in college and one to go. Then it will finally be time to part ways.

Cue all the incels who are going to come in here and try to argue that men have more of a right to cheat than women while simultaneously claiming they would “never” marry a woman who didn’t want kids but also say they’re entitled to sleep with other women if they’re wife’s body changes. Believe it or not men will cheat on their wife and still love them that's why they stay. Men who cheat most likely are a high paying high demanding man and unfortunately for women this man is exercising his options. If you have a man that makes over 150,000 a year he didn't go to school for about 5 to 10 years just to commit the one woman. You want a man who commits the one woman you're talking about a man who's less desirable less attractive makes less money he is going to work harder and treat you better to keep you on lockdown.

- The thrill of cheating

- Being unsatisfied by the quantity or quality of their marital sex

- Having fetish he is ashamed of

- Wanting variety or missing the thrill of the chase

- Not feeling emotionally supported/understood

- Loving another woman

If a man cheat for any of those reasons, it does not mean he does not love his wife. There are few reason for a man who doesn't love his wife to stay with her while cheating and not loving her : kids and divorce laws.

I stayed with her for about a week when I found out because she was the mother of my children and I wanted my children to grow up in a proper family. If there's no kids involved, then my guess is that they're afraid of being alone, but still wanna do whatever they want while keeping you as a safety net or I don't know, divorce is a long process in some places
