It's never too late. I had girlfriends from the time I was 16. I met my future wife when I was 40. We've been married now for over 26 years.

I assume that you want more than love. What about a family, security, and sexual attraction? You're looking for someone that you can trust, admire and respect, and has similar goals and values.

Obviously it’s WAY MORE easier for men to find a partner just because women outnumber men in quantity and 40+ men are still attractive even for young girls, while 40+ women are harder to talk to

Actually no I was on dating apps I'd fire off say 30 messages over a month and maybe get 1 reply and even less attempts at contact without me prompting.

I bet if you started a dating profile you'd be complaining that there are too many messages and having to block some men because they are pressuring for responses!

I tried an online dating app, got 200+ likes for less than a day and found no one I was even just physically attracted to, deleted the app the day after.

All the discussions on why some people cannot find any relationship during whole life may be simply explained by term “bad luck”. Like in a lottery, you’re either born to win or not, despite how much you try. During dozens of failures to find a relationship, I gave up and explain it as it’s not my destiny. I don’t say other single people will remain lonely forever, but I will. I say thank you very much to all the “i like you, BUT”: the age gap, we’re coworkers, you don’t earn 25 mln dollars, you have a low work position, you’re not outgoing enough, you’re too beautiful, you don’t have a luxury appartement and so on.

i’m sick of trying to get what’s wrong with me every damn time, I tried everything I could. By the way, I don’t fall for male models or any other nonsense you think of me. I like a but clumsy, smart, intelligent men who somehow manage to look through me every time. I’m really pretty and get a lot of attention from people I don’t want.

it’s killing my mental and physical health, to see other women cherished, get crazy romantic stuff from partners, and I get slapped in my face just for wanting the same. I wish I could give a birthday present to a special person and he would actually enjoy it, I wish I could make someone happy. But all my efforts are thrown away into garbage. I’m no longer torture myself like that, and just quit an idea of dating. The risk to get hurt even worse outcomes all possibilities of becoming happy

I asked a coworker out and got rejected saying she wasn't doesn't want to seek a relationship with me but offered to be friends anyways. AND you know whats really sad? I still care about her. Heck im apologizing to her for ignoring her even though im doing it for my mental health. Crazy right?

I just want someone I can trust and share my secrets with. Someone who can join my journey as I better myself. And as a short Asian man, in the current dating scene in the US, I am probably going to die alone. I'm not really in the right place of mind right now. I find myself crying in bed asking what is wrong with me. And there is nobody I can talk to about this. I know I'm lonely and I really don't want to be alone and dwell in the deepest crevices of mind. I had a look and it scared me.

I thought my coworker liked me as a woman (he helped me even being busy, offered to explain me financial modelling, was clumsy around me, tried to small talk with me, he lighted up when I jokingly said I like his appearance, gave me advise even being very busy, look into my eyes with that warm gaze). He’a a bit nerdy and just has a common appearance, not a playboy. And I cared for him a lot too, showed him I’m open to know him better.
And guess what? He is off to vacation now and had 0 f@cks to somehow tell me I won’t see him till new year.. This behaviour shows how he really doesn’t care about me at all and all the stuff above was just my imagination.
I’m 22, really pretty and got plenty of attention from men, but I never managed to be with men I liked, for some illogical reason they don’t want me.
Considering your and mine situations with coworkers, I suggest to just forget and concentrate on career. Of you’re unlucky in love, you will succeed in career

Yes you are right. Hey can I ask you to look at my question. I'm hoping you could advice me on how to deal with this coworker. My feeling is that I don't want her friendship but at the same time I don't want to lost her in my life. Maybe im just mega coping and I just want someone of the female perspective to tell me the truth and guide me on what to do when I eventually meet her in a few days.
