Are drunk words sober thoughts?

My boyfriend, who struggles with addiction and alcoholism, recently had a set back after almost 90 days clean and sober. He got drunk and started an argument with me about his new phone not working properly. In this argument he stated saying that he hated me, he hasn’t loved me for a long time, he couldn’t wait to sleep with his ex, this is why he doesn’t want children with me, etc. keep in mind I went what I felt was above and beyond with him all day. I let him come onto my phone plan and unfortunately (due to an error) he lost all of his information from his old device. This led him to drink until he was well drunk. He says that he didn’t mean any of the things he said, that he was just drunk and trying to hurt me. But, I’m not so sure I believe him. My heart hurts so much, and I just really don’t know if the old saying has any truth to it- if he has any truth to what he’s saying now even. Any advice would be appreciated.

As to your boyfriend, you will soon mean your ex-boyfriend.
Regardless of what he said while drunk, his root problem is that he does not have his shit together and likely won't while he is with you. Therefore, it is in your best interests to leave him and find someone better and, believe me, you WILL find someone better.

Its can be but equally it can just be how he was feeling at the moment in time so not how he feels normally but how he was in the moment

No drunk lies and every drunk knows what she/he is doing, is something i got told from an alcohol abuser and it is true in my opinion.
