+1 yDepends on your definition. So many people look for partner that will love them unconditionally however that is not how it works and it was never that way.
A long lasting relationship is built of compromises and random acts of kindness.
If you as a man want a long lasting relationship the first step is to randomly text your SO and tell them that they’re beautiful or how you loved the food they made or even just telling them that you like their hair.
Next step is to randomly do something nice for them like visit their work place with a cup of coffee or leave a small bag of candies in their lunch or something else like that.
The last step to the beginners guid is remembering the things they like.
If your wife likes her tea done a certain way then make tea that specific way before waking her up for work or maybe she likes stop by certain caffe before work but she was in a hurry so you just decide to get her something there during her lunch break.
If you want a long lasting relationship you need to show it by randomly becoming a human vending machine. Don’t worry though because she will most likely return the love and both of you can be happy.
Long lasting love is transactional by nature but that’s part of what makes it great. Doesn’t matter if your male or female these rules apply to both sides of a relationship.04 Reply- +1 y
I don’t care what anyone else says because I know that the best way to get a woman to fall in love with you by giving her snacks XD

All of this is simp behavior and will get you divorce raped.
- +1 y
No theirs a difference between a simp and loving your partner.
For example a simp doesn’t get anything in return. - +1 y
It’s about putting effort into your relationships. If you don’t give then don’t expect to receive because like I said romance is transactional.

+1 yThe whole concept of "true love" being how relationships work has always and will always be a fantasy. Never happened anywhere, any place, any time. This is why you can't find it.
Rewarding relationships are about sexual dichotomy, give and take, domination and submission, reproduction, chemicals in the brain... everything except "true love". True love is just the idea that all these things are too complicated and instead of learning and interacting in all these deep and complex ways we just go "duh durr I feel something and I call it love and now my lazy ass doesn't have to think anymore"

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yThe question should be what is true love. When people mention ‘Finding True Love” it almost sounds like they want something out of a Hallmark movie. Not saying some people aren’t lucky in finding love in that way.. I think love still exist but not in ways people think.
Love exist all around you. You yourself are love. When we are looking for someone we usually look for someone who crosses all the t’s and dots all the i’s. We sometimes create these standards before we even meet the person and often think “what do they bring to the table” “what can they do for me”… and to me your journey in love starts with selfishness.
Love isn’t something you magically find at the end of the rainbow. Love is something you build. Love is not about roses and chocolates. It’s not about how good you look in front of that person 24/7.
I think true love is seeing someone at their absolute worst and deciding to still love them, giving them respectful tough love when needed, holding eachother accountable , selflessness, patience, boundaries, friendship first.
And it’s okay if things don’t work out. Practice learning how to love. Practice on your friends of the opposite sex … just learning how to love with no romance involved.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yNo it’s doesn’t exist if you are asking for relationships I have seen and heard horror stories around me. People change their minds like it’s a diner menu. They even risk their whole family and children just because of sexual frustration and their random attraction of this new men and women. What’s else can I say. It can’t get any more horror than this. Due to some hormones you destroyed a family. Was that new attraction and sex worth it when you end up in a nursing home without any if your children visiting you ! Was your d* or p* so more important than an eternal love this universe is offering you Temporarily
This is for those who have families are married but deviate to the “wtf are you serious “road00 Reply

+1 yYes. But many people aren’t searching for love and that’s why they never find it. They search for sex, money, etc. Then wonder why they can’t find love.

u +1 yWhy would "ths day and age" have eliminated true love?
10 Reply Not. in the U. S. it doesn't... unless you're talking about immigrant families. It's because the values necessary to have and cultivate love aren't values that are rewarded in U. S. culture. They're not incentivized, not encouraged... and tbh, they're completely looked down on. Outside the U. S., in a lot. of places, yes, it does exist. Treating people like shit in many of those places will get someone in a WORLD of hurt... so being a selfish, asshole, narcissistic, bully crook isn't looked at as a Citizen of the Year front runner in many other countries.

+1 yOf course love exists. How true it is is a matter of debate.
Sometimes love is love of the moment or situation. It might last a few months or a few years.
I don't believe there is solely ONE PERSON who is made for any other one person. I think there are many people who are suitable. The two of you have to work out how your relationship goes and do your best to be decent and kind to each other.
Flowers bloom when properly watered and fertilized. Love does the same.

+1 yYes, but I also believe it takes work to keep love. You have to respect each other and think about things before you say and do them. How would I feel if he said this to me or how would I feel if he did this to me. If you would not like it chances are they would not either.
00 ReplyPersonally I'd be hypocritical if I said no because I'm capable of true love and I've been in love it's just that, let's just say it wasn't mutual. It is very, very rare, sadly I haven't been blessed with my angel yet but I will patiently wait for my princess long story short yes but I've been hurt hard enough to wait for her to come to me even if that day will never arrive 🙂
00 ReplyIt's possible that Bill Gates will knock on my door with a 100 million dollar check, but it is not very likely. Not in the western world.

Just because I ve been hurt some times, it does not mean that I should give up on true love.
Its just that true love is hard to reconize.

00 ReplyNo i don't think so speaking of today's generation only
00 Reply313 opinions shared on Relationships topic. True love doesn't exist between two people that meet and get in relationships. There will always be conditions. If those conditions aren't met or you break them, they'll move on.
