Should I wish happy birthday to my crush?

Him and I don't talk much, but once on a coffee with our friends he mentioned his birthday. Since he only mentioned it once, and now months later I remembered it, I don't know if it's pathetic to wish him a happy birthday. What should I do?

Those crushes are usually unilateral and often not reciprocated. This poor guy probably does not even know that you have a crush on him, right?

You can casually wish him a happy birthday but it may look odd that, of all things, you remember his birthday and seem to have forgotten other people's birthdays.

By wishing him a happy birthday, you may indirectly confess to him that you have a crush on him because why would anyone remember this date if not because it has a particular signification.
