Should it be ok for me and my children to go on holiday with my mother without my partner?

Growing up my mom was a single mom to me and my brother and couldnt afford a holiday but now we are older and have our own family’s she wants to save so we can all to on holiday but my mom and my partner dont get along even tho my mom would he ok and offers my partner to come he says he would never come and says me and my children are not going on holiday with my mom as she had her chance when i were younger but she never taken me he won't even allow a little holiday getting a caravan or something few hours drive away in a car for a few days.. dnt no how to feel as i have never been away and done much with ny mom also i feel my kids should be allowed to have a chance to do something with there nan as they live her to bits his excuse used to be because he wants to take us first but 5 years we have been waiting and barely even do anything together never mind holidays together he's telling me i have to choose between him and going away to wales with my mom brother and nephews i dont want the family to split up over a holiday but i haven't done much at all growing up i want it to be diffrent for my children and dont feel like i and my children should loose out due to him not getting along with my mom when i try to explain how i feel he just looses it and kicks off with me😢

Your husband is being ridiculous. You didn’t go on holidays as a kid because your mom couldn’t afford it. And he doesn’t want you to go now because of that? Your mom has been saving up to take you, your kids, and she even invited your husband who doesn’t get along with her—does he not realize how generous that is? Who knows for how long your mom will be around for. This is an opportunity for your kids to make wonderful memories with their grandma, and he’s willing to take that away from them!

If my man asked me to choose between him and going on holiday with my own family I’d help him pack his bags as he moved out of our home, to get him out faster, because ain't no way I’d tolerate such bullshit. I’d go with your Mom, because it’s important for your kids to see their grandma. And you should try to repair your relationship with your Mom. That can only be helpful for you down the road. You may need her help, want her involved in you or your children’s life, or want to be part of her inheritance.
