Is this uncalled for?

I've been with a guy for 10 months. He has bad ocd, anyway I was about to shower at his house after he kindly cleaned the shower drain for me. Just before showering I realised I needed something outside of the shower. So I opened the door and put one foot out.
He shouted at me in a panic. Telling me how dirty my feet are on his rug he will now have to change. Anyway, he stood in the doorway shouting off about the rug and I just said stop, please leave and close the door. I found the whole thing a bit much and totally stressful.
I immediately got out and dressed and told him I was going to leave.
He was like 'yeah you should, this is why we're not compatible'.
The whole situation was very angry and I felt totally vulnerable in the shower firstly and then on me leaving. I just felt like he was being so immature. Couldn't be reasoned with to calm down to even talk. He continued to just shout and make me feel bad.
Anyway, I haven't spoke to him since and don't plan too, he over reacted right?
I haven't heard from him since- I assume he thinks I'm the devil trying to ruin his house and carpets. But my intention was to shower in peace and instead I felt attacked. No idea what to even think of it all, utterly shocked. He's 40
