I fell for my guy friend but I want to get over him. What should I do?

Seems like my friend and I started a relation as hookup. But he is always so nice with me. He would take care of me whenever I need help. He would cook for me. He would cuddle me before bed. This is not all about just sex.

Once he said he likes and respects me a lot. But because he had been stuck in a relationship for 5 years and just ended it, he doesn’t want to be in a relationship anymore. So for him, I’m just his best friend and his favorite person. Which makes me really confused cause for me, what we do is not what friends do

What should I deal with this feeling? :/

Take some space from him. You could be upfront and tell him politely that while you respect that he doesn’t want a relationship, you can’t continue to be close and intimate with him because it’s confusing and hurtful. Or you could say nothing and instead just quietly and gradually fall back. But whichever route you choose, it need to lead to you creating some distance, because it’s impossible to get over your feelings for a guy when you’re carrying on with him how you do.
