Is it safe to say "I love you" to a (female) friend?

I have mixed feelings around my friend. I have a feeling that I love her romantically but at the same time platonically. I think it's because I'm not sure she's into me... I'm not sure she's into girls. But, I want to say "I love you' to her... maybe in a friendly way? So is it safe?

Yes its always ok to say how you feel. Just understand that words can mean different things and can be interpreted in similar but different ways. I would say if you are sure you love her and want to express it then you should have a good idea of how she interprets the word even acceptable ways she recieves it. If you have no clue then maybee hold off on telling her until you are sure and willing to show her in a ways she needs. There have been times that I felt I was in love but made a determination it was more lust or the idea of it because when I realized the kind of work and effort it would be it seemed like it was going to take a lot of effort. Mantaining a relationship does take some effort but when you are in love it wouldn't feel like work or even feel like it was taking a lot of efffort
