I do. Especially if I’m drunk or something 💀

+1 yNo. That seems... odd to me. But then I don't say that phrase to anyone so 🤷♀️
Take that with a grain of salt.
I show them that I care by listening, talking to them, paying attention to them, and remember things about them and their life- to me, that's better than saying a phrase that people say way too much, but don't always mean.00 Reply

+1 yAbsolutely! It's always "Love ya" when I'm leaving or ending a conversation, and "I love you" when they do something funny/endearing/stupid. I've lost too many people to get hung up on the platonic/romantic line. If I feel a certain way about you I tell you.

Honestly it's appropriate to tell your friend "I love you" when he or she is drunk or dying or when that person is in big trouble and that's the only way out who which usually means he or she is drunk. Other than that, it's just an awkward moment in the friendship.

Yes, my best freind and i have been best freinds for like 30 years. I we say I love you to each other, but it's in a brother's type of way... or in family way like you love your cousin or something... not gay.

+1 yAbsolutely. When we say goodbye it's always a quick "love you". Never know when you'll get to say it again. And it's true I love my friends so I will tell them that.
10 Reply yeah.
I always say that to my best friends when we say good bye after not seeing each other for more than 2 or 3 weeks. plus when we have heart-to-heart talks, are drunk, or at special occasions.00 Reply
+1 yI try to say it even to y'all of GAG in playful non-cringey ways, sometimes. just to show, that I appreciate and care, when the times are good or when the gel is just so there, aww's 🤗🥳🥳👀
00 ReplyNo I don’t. In my country it’s a pretty serious thing to say. Even if I’m drunk, I never told that to anyone!
In general, here girls tend to do that more, while boys don’t.02 Reply- +1 y
Why? Ain’t that sexist?
- +1 y
Why should it be sexist? According to the experience I have, I saw basically zero boys doing such thing among boys, while it’s more common for girls to say that among them or with other people. Obviously it’s not an universal thing, there are always exceptions and it’s only limited to my experience.
502 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. Yes, I fucking love my friends! It's not just a thing you say to your mom or your lover.

+1 yYes, I tell friends I love them no matter who they are because life is too short, plus people online have lives that are under stress or bad health, and it makes me sad.

+1 yNah I reserve "I love you" for people I like and am in relationships with or for family members I have to lie to 🤣

+1 yYeah. But they know it's just a platonic thing. Much like how I tell my sisters and parents I love them.

+1 yI say I love you to my best friend because she has been there through my darkest times and is always there for me. She deserves my love.

00 Reply 424 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. No and I don't expect it from them. That's more reserved for romantic feelings not regular love.

@Juxtapose C'mon man... you couldn't smell the sarcasm and not being serious with the dollhouse smashing?
- +1 y
@Juxtapose awe shit... sorry dude. yeah I'm just shit talking and being a shit bag. Hope you understand. I just say shit that isn't true as a joke.
- +1 y
@Juxtapose My kid is level 5 diagnosed as non-verbal autistic. All I gotta say about that is it takes a shit load of work just to figure out if he needs food or not. No bad behavior though which is a super major fucking plus. His fucking brother was suspended every other month, but this kid... not even once and he's 12 now. Big fucking difference.
Anyways, yeah... I'm just a fucking asshole. I don't mean any harm. I say shit to purposely just fuck with people. - +1 y
Oh right I forgot about that. That's pretty severe, I am lucky my case is far more mild. At least he's well behaved and you're taking the right steps to care for him while dealing with your own issues as a veteran. I hope he doesn't feel too lonely because that's something that was an issue for me being as different as I was.
Nothing wrong with that, my roommate shit talks a lot as well and you communicated your real intent fairly quickly once I inquired. No malice, no harm, no problem. You're one of my favorite people on here.
+1 yAbsolutely. Many of my friends I have or would stack on the corner with.
