Is it okay to want to go to parties when I am 24 and do I need to ask for permission from my boyfriend?

We used to go out with my boyfriend and we’ve been together for 6 years. After Covid he became outsider and he doesn’t want to go to any parties. Furthermore, whenever I want to go out (and this is like 3 times per year), I need to consult with him and even if he gets to approve after the party he always makes a huge deal out of it and ruins my mood
