Why is pair bonding so unnatural and counterintuitive?

Question

Most marriages end in divorce, cheating is frequent, monogamy seems morally correct but is hard to sustain, polygamy gets around a lot of the problems of monogamy but it leavesyou feeling isolated and wanting mre than sex, people don't like sharing.

Is there no solution?

You have found a divergence of morals (generally dictated on a personal level by religion) and ethics (generally dictated on a community level by logic).

An ethical argument can be made polyamory/ polygamy is proper. The more men a woman has sex with the higher the probability she will produce offspring and therefore contribute to the workforce of the group. Same goes the other around as some people are sterile and don't know it. Additionally, polygamy removed the ethical burden from a single female to tend to her husband's sexual needs if she doesn't want to (potentially leading to a de facto rape situation if she is compelled)

From an offspring raising perspective it is best as the children will be exposed to all manner ideas sooner, and childcare can be more easily accomplished.

That said, polyamory is expensive and a headache.

It's not counterintuitive or unnatural at all. The more people you sleep with, the harder it will be for you to pair bond and the less satisfying your marriages will be. It's that simple.

It's not. People just don't know what they're doing. Relationships that end you can clearly see why they ended a lot of the times. It's not rocket science but people don't really understand how to control emotions. People glorify the intellect and it isn't what makes someone successful believe it or not.

Like it's easy to be apart of the 1% financially but people just don't understand that earning money is simply about providing service or product. That's all it is. You try to scale it. But most people just go work for someone and that limit their earnings in doing so. It takes no smarts to earn high 6 figures or 7.

Pair bonding is the most natural and most intuitive. It's all the other stuff about relationships that we have abandoned in the modern era which make us so confused. Don't think that how we do relationships these days is in any way indicative of the natural state of relationships. It's only indicative of how broken our culture is

Every relationship is different find what works for you. A lot of communication is required to have a happy, healthy relationship. I’ve been in a perfect relationship for about 8 years now so I know it exists

It's actually not unnatural nor counterintuitive. The point is to not physically bond with someone who you are not spiritually bonded to yet.
