What does he like to do? I am not sure how we are supposed to tell you what to get someone that we don't know his likes/dislikes. I think it is more about the experience and less the gift. Do something memorable.

Again, without knowing him and what he is into, very hard to say what to get him. You may want to use the update box and update the question with some info. Just list some things about him that you know he likes.

I am still for doing something versus receiving a gift. Gifts are nice but memories are way better if it is something really special. My husband is great at this and plans really fun things for my birthdays. Last year, he made arrangements to have a cooking class (both of us) with a very well known chef for my birthday. We then ate the meal that we learned how to cook. That was super special and something I will never forget. Better than any physical gift I got.

Does he ever talk about things he would like to buy? If you really can't think of anything there's no shame in asking him! You could make him something and give that as a surprise and then tell him you want to give him another present but that he has to choose what.
