Was he trying to get me to talk to him and is he interested?

So a guy who I work with on and off, kept walking past and looking at me directly today. He went over to some people near me and started chatting. Then as he was leaving I said hi and he was happy to talk and let me know he was going to a concert. ( he didn’t let the other people know. Is it a sign that he was staring at me a possibility he likes me? And the fact he told me he was off to a concert, was he wanting to let me know so I ask how it went and we can continue chatting? A few weeks ago I told him I’m looking forward to meeting him. Hence the reason for kept on looking at me.
