I think success always involves accepting things you do not like and a person with a low tolerance for unpleasantness will not reap big riches in life. I've heard of girls who had to make most of the money in the early years of their relationship after their boyfriend or husband decided to pursue a new career because he had not yet made a name himself in his new business and I've hard of girls who changed their careers to support their husband's career or business. My aunt trained in computer science but gave that up to help my uncle as his secretary at the doctor's office because my aunt did not trust somebody outside family to run his business properly. I also know people who worked jobs they hated for several years so they could build up the experience and connections they needed to work jobs they liked and I know guys who would bike to school during the first couple years of their employment because they did not have money for a car and the jobs that allowed him to use public transportation to work paid lower salaries. And I know guys who devoted over 20% of their pay cheque to paying for dates while they are looking for a high quality wife to marry and be with. If you don't bite the bullet, you mind end up eating oatmeal and not caviar and steak. I also know guys who refused to pay for dates and after 20 years, they are still single and childless.
